Donate or JOIN Hoppy’s Tour de Cure Team!

Hi, Everybody!

I am riding in the 25th Anniversary ride of the Tour de Cure to help Stop Diabetes. I’m joining thousands of riders from across the country to celebrate this milestone and to raise money to further the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes.

As one who has lived and struggled with the Type 2 diabetes for several years now, I know personally how it limits a person’s lifestyle.  Like I did last year, and plan to do for years to come, I have registered with the San Diego Tour de Cure as a Red Rider and Team Leader of Team T. Ryx.  With your help, we will fight for a future where a parent does not have to hear that their child has diabetes. A future where an adult does not have to face the uncertain times ahead after receiving a diabetes diagnosis. A future where you and I will know that we had a part in making this possible.

I know my participation in this year’s Tour de Cure can and will make a difference. Please help me in my quest to prevent and cure diabetes once and for all by joining my team (Team T. Ryx) and riding with me on April 9.  We’ll start and end the ride at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.  While there is a small registration fee, and a minimum of $200 in donations is required to ride the Tour, it’s fairly easy to collect the donations, esepcially if you make a personal donation yourself first.  I’ve donated already myself.  If you can’t join the team, then please consider helping out by making a donation. Your generosity would mean so much to me!  In fact, if you do not have diabetes yourself, you do know someone who does have it.  Maybe you aren’t aware of it, since it’s not something we’re happy to announce, but someone in your circle of friends and family does have diabetes!  Several of my family members and friends are diabetic.  So I’m doing this for them, and everyone else in the country world who has the disease. As one who has lived and struggled with the Type 2 diabetes for several years now, I know personally how it limits a person’s lifestyle.  Like I did last year, and plan to do for years to come, I have registered with the San Diego Tour de Cure as a Red Rider and Team Leader of Team T. Thank you!
